My Dad's Shirts (2020)

My boys were very close to their Ye Ye (Grandpa).  When he passed away I was able to save some of his shirts and made each of them a blanket to remember him by.

Here is the progression of creating the quilts:

Final Front

Notice the "seal" on the bottom left.  This is an enlargement of one of my dad's seals.

(Tseng-Yao Sun - Original seal is ~7/8" square)

Barry also created an original piece of art for me - a collage, if you will, of my dad's life, 

which I incorporated to the backs of each quilt.

Lastly, for each quilt I incorporated a saying from a sweatshirt (for Bryan) and T-shirt (for Jake) that also captured a sense of their Ye-Ye for each of them.
