Big Dog Blanket (2025)
Years ago my brother gave me a bunch of his old T-Shirts & Pants for me to make a blanket. They have been sitting in my "craft closet" all this time. I finally added this project to my goals list for the year.
I need to add some extra material (from the big dog pants) to even out the length:
Next I needed to add width to the entire blanket...more uses for the pants!
Barry reminded me that Larry likes orange, and I happen to have this huge piece of orange fabric for the back! I've decided not to add batting to this...it is already a pretty heavy blanket.
Top stitching, and then stitching "in the ditch" to attach top and bottom together.
This little guy came from the front of one of the T-Shirts.
The signature line says, "In celebration of all of the Big Dogs that you have loved and cared for". I chose to say this because Larry & Dee Dee adopt large senior dogs (these are some of the most difficult dogs to find homes for), and treat them so well, all of us want to come back in a second life to be cared for by them! 😂
Here is the finished blanket!
